2021 Toyota Vios: Here’s A Look At The Prices, Features, And Variants
3 min readLast July 25, Toyota Philippines officially unveiled the 2021 facelift of the Toyota Vios. It was introduced online at the Toyota Philippines official Facebook page, with a special participation of top Pinoy band Parokya ni Edgar.
What can we say? Well, it seems the Philippines’ best-selling vehicle just got better.
Thanks to the Vios, Toyota has enjoyed sustained success being the top car brand in the country in terms of sales.
The Japanese carmaker has sold more than 300,000 units in 17 years, speeding past any passenger car from any brand.
For 2020, they’ve introduced a facelifted version with some goodies added to the mix. However, Toyota has removed the Prime trims for their E and G variants but still retained the Base, J, XE, XLE, E, and G hierarchy.
First, let’s talk about how it looks.

A look at the facelifted Vios’ exterior
The 2021 Toyota Vios sports an all-new yet familiar face. It follows the same facial cues you can find on its more premium brothers: the Altis and the Camry.
Multiple headlight design gives it a more sophisticated look while its upgraded grille and bumper has a menacing and sportier pose compared to the previous version. Toyota also added featurized rear LED lights for its higher variants.
New Toyota Vios features and specs
Aside from the facelifted look, you can find a lot of new enhancements inside the 2021 Toyota Vios cockpit. More advanced variants like the G have two-toned stitching on both its front passenger seats, evoking a sporty visual. It also comes with a new smart entry feature as well as a push-start ignition.

Drive mode
The top variant also gets new driving modes with its CVT trim. It now features a drive selector mode called ECO for more economical fuel consumption and Sport for a more spirited driving experience.
Safety
Another upgrade can be found in the Vios’ safety features. The G variant now comes with a standard backing camera while the rest still have either three or seven SRS front, passenger, and side inflating airbags–depending on the variant.
All Toyota Vios variants also come with anti-lock brakes with electronic brake distribution and brake assist, vehicle stability control and hill-start assist.
