PNB Online Banking Processes For Your 24/7 Convenience

Following the progressive trend of businesses going digital, the Philippine National Bank (PNB) has also launched their PNB Mobile App to serve customers’ convenience 24/7.

Here are the features and services of PNB online banking that can enhance your customer experience.

Features of PNB internet banking

By signing up, you can utilize these PNB Internet banking features:

1. Account inquiry

The “my accounts” page contains the list of your enrolled deposit and credit card accounts.

For deposits, only eligible accounts will be shown on the screen. You can check the account summary and account details that include:

  • Account name
  • Account number
  • Account type
  • Available balance
  • Currency
  • Current balance
  • Transaction history (by scrolling down the page)

For credit cards, the type of card and available credit limit will be displayed. For multiple cards, the aggregate available limit will also be shown. You can view other account details such as:

  • Available limit
  • Outstanding balance
  • Last payment amount
  • Last payment posted
  • Minimum amount due
  • Payment due date
  • Statement date
  • Total amount due
  • Statement and unbilled transactions (by scrolling down the page)

2. Add other deposit and credit card accounts

This feature allows you to update, add, or remove deposit/credit card accounts from your list.

3. Bills payment

The system enables you to pay your bills online, as well as view your payment details and history.

4. Checkbook reorder

This allows you order checkbooks online in case you run out.

5. Funds transfer

The feature makes fund transfering easier and convenient.

6. Manage payments and transfers

The “Manage Accounts” page lets you view and update your registered payees and/or billers. It also allows you to edit and saves your scheduled transfers and/or payments.

7. Transaction receipts

This feature allows you to monitor your online transactions. By choosing a transaction, more details will be displayed on the screen.

8. UITF

This feature lets you enroll investment participation, make direct investments, and manage UITFs.

How to enrol in PNB internet banking

Customers can enrol in PNB online banking using ATM Card and SMS PIN on the internet. Here are the steps:

For a personal account

  1. Visit the official website of PNB Internet Banking through your browser.
  2. On the homepage, click the “sign up” button.
  3. The terms and conditions page will pop up and review the agreement.
  4. Click “agree” to be redirected to the ATM card details page.
  5. Pick the account type to enroll and type in the card number and PIN.
  6. Click “continue.”
  7. Then, fill out the needed login information (username, password, mobile number, and email address, etc.)
  8. Review your login details, and click “continue.”
  9. Wait for the confirmation page that says your account is successfully registered.

For joint, non-ATM,and/or pensioner accounts

This signup process uses an SMS PIN and done at the bank office.

  1. Visit your local PNB branch and ask for the Digital Banking Enrollment through SMS PIN.
  2. Fill out the electronic banking enrollment form that will be provided to you.
  3. Type in your account number and your mobile number.
  4. Enter the SMS PIN that will be sent to your registered phone number.
  5. Click “continue.”
  6. Fill out the login information correctly (username, password, mobile number, and email address, etc).
  7. A confirmation page will pop up for successful registration

How to log in to your PNB online account

To log in to a PNB online account for the first time, these are the simple steps:

  1. Check your registered email for the online activation code (OAC) sent to you upon registration.
  2. Type the OAC on the login page, and click the “continue” button.
  3. A successful logging in will bring you to the “my accounts” page, where you can find more features to utilize (see the items above).

To log out, you may choose the option in the menu. You must remember though that the system will log you out automatically if you remain idle for five minutes.

How to add other deposit and credit card accounts

Here are the steps applicable to adding multiple accounts:

For other deposit accounts

  1. Look for the “account services” tab at the top menu.
  2. Click on the “add/remove rccounts” button.
  3. Click on “new account.”
  4. Type in the six-digit one-time pin (OTP) you will receive on your registered phone number.
  5. Click “continue.”
  6. Pick the desired account/s to enrol from the list of available accounts.
  7. Click “continue.”
  8. The added account/s will appear on the “my accounts” page.

For multiple credit card accounts

  1. Find the “account services” menu at the top page. 
  2. Click on “enroll credit card.” 
  3. Type in your credit card details (card number, expiry date, and date of birth). 
  4. Click “continue.” 
  5. Type in the six-digit OTP sent to your mobile number. 
  6. Click “continue.” 
  7. If applicable, your supplementary cards will be added in a single enrollment.

How to manage payments and transfers

Here is the process to manage transfers and payments on PNB online:

To add payees

  1. Click “new payee.”
  2. Fill out the account details and click “continue.”
  3. Review the details and confirm by clicking “save.”
  4. The new payee account is nowadded to the list.

To add billers

  1. Click “new biller.”
  2. Choose the merchant’s name from the generated list
  3. Type in the account details, and “continue.”
  4. Confirm the details and click the “save” button.
  5. Merchant is now added to your list.
  6. If needed, you can edit and remove this record.

To manage scheduled payments/transfers

  • You can delete any recurring payment or transfer history.

How to transfer funds via PNB digital banking

To transfer money via PNB online, follow this procedure:

Transfer to own account

  1. From the main menu, click on “transfers.”
  2. Choose the source account of the fund.
  3. Pick the destination account to receive the fund.
  4. Indicate the amount to be transferred (and remarks).
  5. Make sure it doesn’t exceed the available balance from the source accountand click “continue.”
  6. You may also set recurring transfers by clicking on “repeat.”
  7. Review the details of the transaction and click “done” if the details are correct.
  8. A confirmation page will pop up to acknowledge a successful transfer.

Transfer to a third-party PNB account

  1. From the Main Menu, choose “transfers.”
  2. Choose the source account of the fund.
  3. Choose other accounts and click “new payee.”
  4. Type in the third party’s account mumber and the corresponding alias.
  5. Click “save payee to list” to save the payee information for future transactions.
  6. Click “continue.”
  7. Enter the amount you want to transfer, if you have any.
  8. Make sure that the amount entered does not exceed the available limit of the source account.
  9. Click “continue.”
  10. Review the details and click “done” if the information is correct.
  11. Type in the OTP you will receiveon your phone, and click “continue.”
  12. A confirmation page will show for the successful transfer.

How to pay bills using PNB online banking

Here are the steps to pay your bills via PNB online:

  1. In the main menu, click the “bills” button.
  2. Select the account where the payment will be obtained.
  3. You will be shown the “my billers” field, so click “new biller.”
  4. From the display of available billers, select the appropriate Biller’s name.
  5. Type in the subscriber number and alias.
  6. You may click the button that says “save biller to list” to the right to record the biller’s information for future payment, and click “continue.”
  7. Type in the payment amount and click “continue.”
  8. Review payment details and click “done.”
  9. Enter the OTP you will receive via mobile, and click “continue.”
  10. You will receive a confirmation page and email for each successful payment.

How to reorder a checkbook

To manage your checkbook on PNB online, follow this guide:

  1. In the “my accounts” page, click “view details” of your registered checking account.
  2. Click the “services” button that can be found at the upper-right portion of the dropdown menu.
  3. Choose “order check book.”
  4. An “order check” page will be displayed where you must provide transaction details.
  5. Pick the number of checkbooks to order (maximum of 10).
  6. You may add the name of the representative who will pick the checks from the branch of account.
  7. Confirm the details by clicking “order.”

How to manage UITF on PNB internet banking

To manage your investments, here are the steps involved:

For enrollment of new UITF

  1. Click “UITFs” on the menu, and then,“enroll in UITF online.”
  2. Review and concur with the terms and conditions of the PNB UITF online service agreement.
  3. Review and concur the terms and conditions of the omnibus participating trust agreement and confirm.
  4. Fill out the UITF client suitability assessment (CSA) form and click Submit.
  5. Click the “accept” button regarding your risk profile and recommended UITF products.
  6. Review and concur with the terms and conditions of the general risk disclosure statement.
  7. Indicate your settlement account. Keep in mind to nominate a peso settlement account to invest in a peso-denominated investment or a dollar settlement account to invest in a dollar-denominated investment.
  8. Click “continue.”
  9. Optional: answer the short survey and submit.
  10. You will be notified of the successful UITF online enrollment.

For enrollment of existing UITF

  1. Choose “enroll existing UITF placement” from the UITF submenus
  2. Type in the details inthe confirmation of participation (COP) issued by yourbranch of account, and click “continue.”
  3. Check the accuracy of COP enrollment information, and confirm
  4. You will be notified of the successful UITF online enrollment.
  5. Note that your old COP will be revoked and be replaced by the electronic COP. Enrolling UITF participations make the redemption process online and that you may no longer visit the branch.
  6. Your enrollment requests will be processed by the PNB Trust Banking Group within 24 hours of banking days.
  7. Upon approval, your enrolled existing UITF placement will showonthe account portfolio in PNB Internet Banking.

For making a direct investment

  1. From the UITF Menu, choose “make an investment”
  2. Pick the UITF product you want to invest in.
  3. Click “invest,” and then, go to “direct investment.”
  4. Read and agree to the “specific risk disclosure statement” terms and conditions. This is only applicable during the initial investment in the fund.
  5. Pick the “source account” and type in how much you want to invest (principal amount).
  6. Review the details of your investment and click “continue.”
  7. You will receive a notificationof the completed UITF investment transaction and an email if your COP with the details of your placement becomes available.

For redemption

  1. From the UITF menu, select the UITF participation you wish to redeem.
  2. Click the “redeem” button (redemption may be partial or in full).
  3. Click “continue” upon reviewing and confirming redemption details.
  4. You will receive a notification of the completed redemption requests. Only requests received before 11AM will be considered as a transaction for the day.

For auto investment plan

If you chose the auto investment plan (AIP), a trust savings account (TSA) is created automatically by the system upon subscription, and your funds will be deposited temporarily in the TSA.

Once it meets the needed threshold amount, it will be debited for the automatic investment ofyour chosen UITF. The AIP facility is initially applicable to few UITF products.

For other services
