iPhone SE 2020: Philippine Prices, Specs, And Plans

There’s a new iPhone coming out soon. This time, you can finally stop bashing Apple and finally join the craze because they’re releasing the cheapest iPhone yet.

The Cupertino-based tech company is now making its phones more accessible with the upcoming iPhone SE 2020. No, it’s not the same budget-friendly SE that was released alongside the 6S and 6S Plus a few years back.

iPhone SE 2 Philippine Launch

At first glance, it might seem like its design was just taken out of the iPhone 8, which was released in 2017. However, the comparison ends there as the new SE packs some serious punch under its hood.

At the heart of Apple’s cheapest smartphone to date is the latest six-core A13 Bionic clocking in at 2.65 GHz the most. Divided into two sections, namely two performance cores nicknamed Lightning and four energy-efficient cores called Thunder, Apple claims that the iPhone SE is 20 percent faster yet 40 percent more energy efficient than its predecessors.

The SE 2020 may only have a single main camera, which is unattractive by today’s standards of multiple cameras at the back of your phone. But its machine learning-guided 12MP wide-angle camera still promises stunning photos by intelligently working with lights and shadows. It has portrait lighting effect presets and depth-of-field control to give you more flexibility with your Instagram OOTDs.

Tired of humongous phones? Well, you’ll be delighted that the 2020 iPhone SE is only 4.7 inches! Its Retina HD True Tone display with wide color gamut makes every detail on your phone more vibrant. It also supports Dolby Vision and HDR10 playback without worrying about losing details.

Another feature that makes the new SE attractive to potential phone buyers is the return of the iconic home button. Apple promises that the sapphire construction of the SE’s home button will make it durable. With the button back in the design, Touch ID will also be an option for users who are still not used to Face ID.
